Marc Ramirez is a member of ӣƵ's social justice team, writing about religion/spirituality, inequities and issues of identity. He's passionate about storytelling, human interest and lifestyles reporting and the culture of food and drink. He previously wrote for the Seattle Times, Phoenix New Times and The Dallas Morning News, where his two-year series about a young boy facing a life of blindness won the 2012 National Headliner Award for feature writing. He has degrees from the University of Notre Dame and the University of California at Berkeley.
